Our Partnership Annual General Meeting (AGM) took place on Tuesday 29 October at the Wellcome Collection near Euston.
Over 100 people came down on the night and we had 14 stalls showcasing the amazing work some of our services do to improve the mental health of our communities across North London.
The services represented at the stalls included our Perinatal service, Crisis, Talking Therapies, and the Veterans’ Mental Health and Wellbeing service.
Key attendees included Partnership service users, carers and staff, colleagues from other NHS trusts, some of our C&I Governors, and local authority representatives.
Looking back on, and sharing, our achievements
Our Chief Executive Jinjer Kandola gave a presentation highlighting our biggest achievements from 2023/24. She celebrated the tangible, positive change to the lives of the people we serve. You read more about what we’ve achieved as a Partnership in the last year, here.
We had a video message from our C&I Governors, who shared their thanks for all the work that has gone into the successes we’ve had. You can watch what they had to say here, along with a video of the year’s highlights at our Partnership.
We also had a quality update from our Chief Nursing Officer, Amanda Pithouse, and our annual accounts overview from Chief Finance and Investment Officer Samanthi Gibbens.
Celebrating co-production with our Youth Board
Our Children and Young People’s Mental Health Services (CYPMHS) Youth Board then took to the stage to tell attendees about the value of co-production and how they are using their lived experience to help improve the care we give our young service users. They also shared details of the amazing work they have done this year with our Co-production and Engagement Lead, King Agyapong.
Our Chair, Lena Samuels, then led a question-and-answer session, giving attendees the chance to have their voices heard.
A time for reflection as we become the NLFT
We had a wonderful evening reflecting on the improvements we’ve made to our services and successes we’ve had this year. It was great to be holding the AGM in person again for the first time since 2019.
We officially become the North London Foundation Trust (NLFT) on Friday 1 November after Secretary of State sign-off, so all the more reason to celebrate!
