North London NHS Foundation Trust is offering an opportunity for parents of children in Barnet, Enfield, and Haringey to participate in two free, expert-led workshops this February.
These workshops, titled Supporting Your Child’s Emotional Wellbeing, are designed to equip parents with essential tools to help nurture their child’s emotional health and development.
Led by Dr. Stavros Orfanos, a Senior Clinical Psychologist with the Trust, these workshops will offer practical tips to support children’s emotional wellbeing, while providing insight into how children process and understand their emotions. Dr. Orfanos is a senior clinician deeply involved in designing and delivering care for young people in north London, making this a unique opportunity to hear directly from an expert.
As part of the Trust's ongoing commitment to the mental health and wellbeing of young people across north London, these workshops aim to empower parents to support their children's mental and emotional health at home. Parents who attend will walk away with practical strategies they can begin implementing immediately to foster their child’s emotional resilience, as well as day to day tips.
The first session will take place during Children’s Mental Health Week, on Friday, 7 February, followed by the second on Friday 14 February. Both events will be hosted online.
These workshops are free to attend, but spaces are limited, so parents are encouraged to reserve their spots as soon as possible.
