On 17 December 2024, the Haringey Health and Wellbeing Event was held at the iconic Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, offering an exciting opportunity for the Trust to connect with Haringey residents. Together with key partners, the local authority, GP Federation and Voluntary Care Services, the event showcased the breadth of health and well-being services available to the community.
The event was hosted by Jordelle Akinola, EDI Lead, and Kwaku Agyeman, AHP Lead, and began with a compelling opening presentation around our comittment to Haringey residents from Gary Passaway, Managing Director of Haringey, and Sade Omatsuli, Senior Services Lead for Haringey. There were also presentations from key stakeholders such as Public Voice, Hestia, Older Persons CMHT, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services, Open Door and the 18-25 Transitions Team.
High energy interactive sessions from Tottenham Talking got everyone on their feet and singing, and a Mindfulness Taster session facilitated by Dr Chantal Scaillet, Consultant Clinical Psychologist, were very well received.
One of the event’s highlights was the screening of the trailer for "Us", a powerful film promoting Trauma-Informed Services. The screening, facilitated by Tim Mercier, underscored the importance of understanding and addressing trauma within the community.
Attendees also enjoyed a fabulous pop up stall from Studio 306 displaying Haringey service user made handicrafts, jewellery, pottery and textiles, and an art wall displaying service user artworks, prose and poetry. Supported by our wonderful staff and lived experience volunteers, it was a fitting end of year event for the Truts
