Focus Homeless Community Mental Health Team

  • We offer an assertive outreach service to street homeless people and homeless people in hostels. We will offer you assessment, triage, signposting (if appropriate) and treatment. The team will advocate on your behalf and support you with social and practical issues.

    The team also offers advice and support to street outreach staff and hostel staff on working with mentally ill people and help them to formulate treatment and crisis plans as appropriate.

You can self-refer and we also receive referrals from hostel staff, GPs, Camden Safer Street’s team and members of the public etc.

Who is this service for?

We work with street homeless people with mental health problems aged 18 years and over within the direct access hostels in Camden.

What to expect

We have many years of experience in working with homeless people. We are here to help you with the things that are really important to you and advocate on your behalf.

We can offer an assessment and treatment service for mental health issues and support and assist you with housing and benefits. We are interested in all aspects of your care, including education, employment and physical health needs.

The team will do everything that they can to assist you with your health, social wellbeing and physical health issues to help you on your way to recovery and resettlement to more permanent accommodation and linking to services appropriate to need.
