Learning, education and development
We are committed to equipping our staff with the necessary knowledge and skills to perform their roles competently and confidently. Our goal is to ensure the workforce is capable of delivering the high standards of service that our service users rightfully expect, both now and in the future. This commitment applies to all staff, whether they work in clinical frontline services or in supporting roles that contribute to the overall effectiveness of the organisation.
We offer a wide range of learning opportunities, including mandatory training, apprenticeships, and specialised programs aimed at developing professional managers and leaders. The Trust takes pride in supporting learning across all levels, from ward to Board, and strives to make these opportunities available to everyone, regardless of job band or occupation.
We are dedicated to innovation in workforce development, just as we are in the delivery of clinical services. This commitment to continuous learning is key to fostering a highly skilled workforce that is prepared for the future.
Continuous Staff Development (CPD)
The Trust is committed to your continuous development through regular supervision, yearly appraisals, access to in-house and online courses on ESR. The Trust can offer funding towards professional development programmes (conferences, courses and professional qualifications) for individuals and teams. Team coaching is offered to help your team move forward with an issue.
