We are a community-based alternative to an inpatient facility for those who are in an acute mental health crisis.
We provide practical and emotional mental health support. Our service is for urgent care and provides you with a maximum stay of two weeks. Our team will provide a comprehensive mental health assessment, medication review, informal counselling type support & group activities. We can support you with planning for return home and follow up community support from a wide range of organisations should you need.

Depression, Anxiety, OCD, Trauma, Psychosis & Schizophrenia, Schizoaffective, Personality Disorders, Bipolar disorders, Acute Stress reactions and those people without a diagnosis who appear to be in a first MH crisis
How to access this service
Referrals are taken via the telephone only.
We accept self-referrals and referrals from other professionals (GP, Community teams, crisis teams etc)
Who is this service for?
Residents of Camden or Islington who are in an acute mental health crisis and who have capacity to consent to admission and agree to the ABC contract.
What to expect
We provide a six-bed unit with en-suite rooms for men and women. Shifts are staffed by clinical and non-clinical staff which includes during weekdays, we have access to a Consultant Psychiatrist when required. We will offer daily 1:1 meeting with all residents.
