Referrals are made to the core teams from the GP or internally from other secondary care teams across the Trust.
Who is this service for?
Our service is for adults 18+ who are experiencing a range of eating disorders.
What to expect
The Recovery Hubs are based within the Core Community Teams so an initial assessment is completed to put a care plan in place.
If suitable for the Eating Disorder pathway a comprehensive psychological assessment is offered to diagnose and gauge the severity of the eating disorder.
Evidence-based treatments: Patients receive therapy in line with NICE guidelines, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and weight monitoring. CBT aims to reduce pre-occupation with shape and weight by reducing behaviours such as bingeing, purging and restricted eating, and addressing body image.
We prioritise timely access to our services, believing that early treatment enhances long-term recovery prospects.
