Patient Benefits

As part of our application to become NLFT, we outlined what the benefits are for our service users and wider partners.

  • Adults of Working Age
Our integrated community teams are prioritising prevention through timely care.  For those who need admission, we are focussing on improving care for our service users in hospital in acute and rehabilitation settings.
  • Crisis Services
Instead of waiting until someone is in crisis, part of our approach in our Crisis Services is to proactively offer support to people who we believe are at risk of crisis and this is already reducing admissions to hospital and allowing service users to get the care they need while continuing to live at home.
  • Older People Services
Our communities are living longer, so our staff who work in Older People’s Services are responding with a new model of care which will allow service users to get specialist help as quickly as possible, based on their need rather than age criteria.
  • Quality Improvement (QI)
To deliver the highest standard care, making full use of all innovative treatments, we are investing in and embedding QI in our new Trust to drive improvement at a faster pace.
