Barnet Forum
Barnet Forum is a local, friendly and welcoming group of service users, carers, NHS staff and community organisations who have an interest in mental health services.
Meetings take place monthly in each borough and last for an hour and half. They are open to anyone who wishes to come, you can just turn up!
Barnet Forum meets every third Thursday of the month 2 – 3.30pm.
About our meetings
What happens at the forum?
Speakers are arranged each month and useful information is shared about things happening in the local area.
People can offer ideas and suggestions for subjects or speakers they would like to hear about.
There is also time to have a chat about other topics that people are interested in or want to discuss.
Do I have to share any information about myself?
You do not need to share any information about yourself, you don’t even have to share your name!
However, you are welcome to share what you are comfortable with.
Can I raise a complaint at the forum?
You are welcome to raise concerns you have. However, this is not a place to raise a formal complaint.
If you have a formal complaint you wish to raise we can signpost you to the right place.
Where does the information from the forum go?
Notes are taken from the meeting, and these are shared with NHS managers and teams if relevant.
Notes of the meetings are also shared with the forum mailing list, which includes service users, carers, NHS and community organisations.
Notes do not say who said what and confidential information is not included.
Do I have to come regularly?
You do not have to attend regularly; you can come whenever you want. For example, you may choose to attend because you are interested in the subject.
You do not need to let us know if you are not coming to a meeting.
Are refreshments provided?
