Older Adults

Within Camden and Islington, Older Adult services have developed along two separate pathways including a functional mental health pathway and a diagnosis to end of life dementia pathway with some overlap e.g. crisis services. The functional services provide care and support for people whose needs are age or frailty related as recommended by Royal College of Psychiatry.  

There are multidisciplinary teams across the Partnership of specialist old age psychiatrists, community psychiatric and general nurses, social workers, occupational therapists, psychologists, and support workers.  The teams provide assessments, diagnosis, treatment, and support for our individuals depending on their specific needs through a person-centred approach.
